DU B.Ed 2020 Eligibility - Qualification, Age, Percentage

The faculty of Education, University of Delhi provides an educational course (Bachelor of Education) which is considered as one of the flagship programs of the Institute.  The candidates of general category with a minimum of 50% marks in Bachelor’s Degree or in Master’s degree in any of the following subject:  Science or Social Science or Humanities or Commerce are eligible to apply. Moreover, the aspirants who secured at least 55% marks in Bachelor of Technology with specialization in Science and Mathematics or with any other equivalent degree are eligible to apply. 

Eligibility as per Nationality

The eligibility for B.Ed programme under the University of Delhi are different and determined on the basis several factors. Among them nationality is the major factor.

Candidates residing within India

The eligibility for candidate total percentage of marks secured depending upon their category to which they belong. The candidates who belong to the general category are required to score 50% marks in their graduation or post-graduation level whereas the candidates who belong to OBC or widow or SC/ST and other categories (PwD) are given a relaxation of 5% and 10% respectively from any recognized university in any of the following subject:

  • Science
  • Social Science
  • Humanities
  • Commerce

The B.Tech candidates need to score at least 55% marks with specialization in science and mathematics.

Foreign Candidates

In case of the foreign candidates they should hold  any degree of graduation from any of the Indian University situated abroad. The candidates are short-listed on the basis of merit and availability of seats.

Eligibility as per Age Limit

The candidates  apply for the B.Ed courses must not be less than 21 years of age. There is  no such relaxation for any reserved category such as SC/ST or OBC, etc.

All the candidates who wish to apply for the Bachelor of Education whether holding a Bachelor or Master’s degree must not be less than 21 years and more 28 years of age.

Age Limit

Aspirants should have a minimum 14 years of age to register for U.P. B.Ed. Joint entrance exam 2020.
